Gun Control

The Topic of Gun Control has been one of great question lately. From the Virginia Tech shooting to the Chiefs, Jovan Belcher, killing his baby's mother to the Newtown, Conneticut school shooting, there is no doubt the topic is to be brought up now.

Many People, a large sum Democrats, believe that the best way to protect the people is to try to regulate the 2nd Amendment. These same people believe that in doing so, these criminals will no longer commit the ruthless crimes they do each year. Unfortunately they are criminals for a reason. By taking away guns from people who are usually responsible with guns, there will be a new, larger market for criminals to sell guns like they do drugs. The only people who will be armed will be those who are definitely criminals.

The 2nd Amendment was created for "the people" to protect themselves with the same type of weaponry used by whom they may need protection from, whether it is there own Government or everyday people. The idea is that if a criminal is armed with a gun, a citizen is also armed with a gun of the same type and can then protect themselves. People in search to cause harm will find a way to do it, legally or illegally. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people."

What is Socialism?

As many of you know, Republicans like to use the word Socialism. Unfortunately many of you probably don't know what Socialism is and how it affects America today.

Socialism is a political philosophy in which the Government has control and input into social decisions. These decisions may include Religion, regulation of production of goods and services, Unemployment benefits, Welfare benefits, and DON'T FORGET REGULATION, REGULATION AND REGULATION. In a Socialistic Country the Government knows what is best for the people and make the decisions for them. Socialists despise Capitalism and free markets, thinking that it gives power and wealth to a small group of people.

Now think to yourself, does this ring a bell? Regulation of Guns maybe? High and out of control Unemployment and Welfare benefits? Hatred of Capitalism? Redistribution of Wealth? America has been moving toward a Socialistic Government for years and not for the better.

Is Google trying to take over the world?

Last week, Chris and I came across a story that the beloved search-engine website, Google was now launching intelligence drones into the continent of Africa to prevent the poaching of rhinoceros. The immediate thought that went through both of our minds is "How does a company, like Google, make the branch between search engine tool to drone manufacturers " Well, surprisingly enough, this is not the first time Google has made this "leap of faith" into a new source of technology.

Google is one most risk-free stock investments you could make nowadays. The stock price (as of December 4th) is $685 a share and has managed to stay around that price for a good time now. This relatively stable business foundation has allowed Google to take some unprecedented stakes toward a new-wave of technology hence the "leap of faith" comment.

Now that we've covered that Google can afford to take these calculated risks, lets move on to actually why Google could be running EVERYTHING in the very near future.

A city in Kansas acquired a new ISP (Internet Service Provider.) This ISP has managed to offer ridiculously low prices for internet service such as $25/mo. for one year. Then, for the next 7 years. THE NEXT SEVEN YEARS. Internet is free. Guess who this famous ISP is run by? Google. Now when I look at this from the outside as an unbiased party, I keep coming to the conclusion of "PLEASE, Google; BRING ME THIS AMAZING SERVICE." Even though this is amazing  and awesome you must be asking yourself "How on Earth can Google afford to give out practically free internet?" Well remember that "leap of faith" I was talking about? Yeah, that's where that comes into play.

Well guess what? There's more! Google has also started talks of becoming a cell-phone service provider. A FREAKIN' CELLPHONE SERVICE PROVIDER. Now, if you don't know what that means; it practically means that our friends over at Google want to compete with the likes of companies such as Verizon, and AT&T.

With the all information that I have presented, you have to ask yourself "Is this a bad thing?" I have also tried to answer this question myself and here's what I have decided. As long as Google stays to its great business model which is providing great customer service and very affordable prices then of course not. But if Google runs off all the other ISP's and then decides to sky-rocket their prices we would be at the mercy of the capitalist giant Google. But hey? Why be a debbie-downer? Googles' doing a great thing and we all should be happy if they decide to come to our cities.

Socialism Rant

Hi everyone, My name is Tyler; and I would like you to listen to my Socialist rant for a few minutes. But to really understand the article we must first understand what a socialist actually is. So the question is "What does Socialist actually mean?" I don't know. I'm not even sure anymore. Read the article.

In my world, people use the word for LITERALLY ANYTHING!

"Oh, the income tax increased .0000000000009%?... SOCIALIST!"
"No, more twinkies?...SOCIALIST!"
"The Democratic president disagreed with my Republican views?..SOCIALIST"

Frankly, I'm sick of it. People hear this "thou that should not be named" term and they go crazy. They take the idea of helping people who have fallen off their feet and they immediately associate the guy with Karl Marx himself. Suddenly, the idea of helping AMERICANS (I mind you) has become replaced with the ideal that not helping will somehow produce a better outcome.

(Who's this ominous guy, you ask? I think you know.)

Obama not receiving credit; as always.

Can we stop for a second? With the whole news of the impending doom that is the "Fiscal Cliff," why don't we stop. Just for a bit.

Obama has been criticized by the right-wingers up and down about how he is unwilling to compromise with them. I, shockingly enough, think they are wrong. I think Obama is finally realizing that he needs to stick to his guns and that's exactly what he is doing.

John Boehner (who at this moment might as well be labeled a democrat because the hatred toward his campaign from the right-wingers) has conceded toward Obama by agreeing that the rich (US citizens who make over $200,000) should pay more regarding taxes.
ABC NEWS

PAY MORE??? BLASPHEMY?... Yes, pay more. But how much exactly? The citizens in question who make over $200,000 a year have acted like this increase in taxes will be there quick and swift downfall. This statement is incorrect. Obama plans to ask the rich for a (0.9%) increase while they're paying taxes.

(0.9%) HOLY JESUS CHRIST; THAT COMMIE MIGHT AS WELL TAKE ALL MY MONEY! Again, incorrect. If you look over the years of how tax rates have actually fluctuated you will find that anything less than a 1% increase is relatively minuscule.  So don't get your panties all up in a bunch. Obama isn't asking for that much.

Syrian Complications

New U.S. Intelligence report Syria may be readying chemical weapons. Reports say that the Syrian Government has had a high level of activity in locations believed to hold chemical weapons, although the Syrian President  Bashar-Assad, says he does not support the use of chemical weapons and does not admit to having chemical weapons.

President Obama, as well as Hilary Clinton and the U.N., have addressed Assad and the Syrian Government saying that if chemical weapons are used against Syrian rebels and civilians there will be strong consequences.

The Syrian Civil war has been going on for close to two years and the use of chemical weapons pose a particular threat to U.S. allies in that region. Since the war began, an estimated 43,000 people have died, many of whom were civilians. The U.S. has practiced non-interventionism for fear of further militarization and costs, although the use of these weapons could change things.

Fiscal Cliff Update

The Fiscal Cliff is the result of the end of Bush era tax cuts and take place at the start of 2013. The Fiscal Cliff will majorly increase taxes for all and will automatically cut Government spending, unless the President and Congress come to agreement on a new tax plan and or Deficit cuts.

Some people believe that our Government should let us fall off the cliff, saying "We need the cuts anyway", but unfortunately if we go over the cliff we will be set back into a recession and it will ultimately hurt every American including the middle class.

So far our President has proposed a plan that increases tax rates on the "rich" who make $200,000 or more a year to suffice his own spending. His plan is said to create about 1.6 trillion dollars in new revenue, which is about twice as much as he asked before the election and does not include cuts in loop holes and deductions as he promised.

Republicans currently do not agree on his plan and according to John Boehner, we haven't gotten anywhere in means of solving the upcoming crisis. Republicans have said they are willing to negotiate on the right terms, but so far a huge tax hike for the "rich" without cutting loop holes and deduction just seems ridiculous.
